Description
Learn to tell the time
The large student learning clock from Betzold reliably supports students in learning the time. The clock is made of plastic and has a diameter of 13 cm. The large numbers on the clock face are easy to read. All steps of five are clearly marked with dots. Each educational clock is equipped with a gearwheel movement so that the hands move synchronously. Thanks to the foldable stand, children can either place the clock in front of them or lay it down.
Use in the classroom
The topic of “time” is usually on the agenda in Year 2 lessons. Many children are not yet able to tell the time at this stage. With the help of this school clock, your pupils will learn
- to read the correct time from a clock,
- set specified times on the clock face,
- distinguish between hours, minutes, and seconds and
- use the terms “quarter” and “half” correctly
The Betzold school clock makes the abstract topic of “time” tangible. Pupils adjust the hour and minute hands themselves, making complicated arithmetic operations understandable for them. The school clock is suitable for use at school as well as for doing homework.
Light and small
Weighing just 78 g, the learning clock is extremely light and fits in any school bag. When introducing the time in class, it is advisable to purchase a class set of identical clocks so that every child can work with the same student clock.
